Measuring Guide
Use this guide to help determine the best shrink band size for your product!
Lay Flat
-
1. Find the Circumference
Wrap a flexible measuring tape or string around the widest part of the container you want sealed and measure it in milimeters (mm), this will be your circumference (C).
-
2. Calculate the Lay Flat
To determine the optimal lay flat (LF), plug in your measured circumference (C) into the formula below:
LF = .5(C) + 2
-
3. Choose the Shrink Band
If the calculated lay flat is in between the sizes we offer, please select the band with the larger lay flat.
Cut Length
-
1. Determine the Length
Determine where you would like the shrink band to start and end, making sure that the start overlaps the top of the cap.
-
2. Measure the Length
Use a flexible measuring tape or string to measure along the contour of the container (in mm) between the start and end points. This will be your cut length.
-
3. Choose the Cut Length
Take both the calculated lay flat and cut length into consideration when selecting the optimal shrink band.
